During my lunch break, I decided to do a quick sketch of the great old one, Cthulhu. Using just a simple ballpoint pen and a work notepad, I was able to capture the essence of this legendary creature.
It only took me about 5 minutes to complete the sketch, but I was happy with how it turned out. Even though it was just a quick drawing, it’s always fun to flex my artistic skills and see what I can come up with on the fly.
After Jean Grey’s latest resurrection she leads her own new team, X-men Red. So with a new life, a new team she’s going to have a new look. This was a lunch break sketch I did last week. I was inspired to draw Jean after seeing artist Jamie Fay‘s amazing rendition he did of her. Jamie posted the image of her on his Instagram account.

Here’s my day two drawing of a Devil….. Daredevil to be exact. For this challenge, all my drawings will be comic-based. Daredevil was the first character to pop into my mind for Devil. If you get a chance to read the latest Daredevil series written by Mark Waid, it’s fun. The Daredevil I drew is more the Marvel Knights version.
Here’s my day one drawing of a Ghost. This Ghost is the Marvel Comic tech villain. Originally an Iron Man adversary, he’s now a member of the Thunderbolts. Had fun drawing him.
For the past few weeks, I’ve been listing to DC 52, Graphic Audio Book. One of the main characters is Black Adam. I’m a huge fan of the Marvel Family (Captain Marvel and his supporting cast.) and I’ve really enjoyed the adventure with the Black Marvel Family.
I was inspired to pencil this drawing of Black Adam. I used a .05 HB mechanical pencil, it took me about an hour. I had fun with these pencils. I’ll be posting my inks in the next few days. – Shazam!
